Ponsonby won the Roope Rooster in consecutive years for the first time in the club's history.

1925
Ponies won the Roope Rooster for the third time in four years and defeated City in their first appearance in a Champion of Champions final.

1926
Ponsonby defeated City 13-8 in the championship final and beat Richmond in the Champion of Champions game to win the Stormont Shield.

1927
Ponsonby went down 6-3 to Newton in the championship final.

1929
Ponsonby won their fifth Auckland championship when they defeated Devonport (North Shore) 5-0 in the final.

1930
There was no final this season. Ponsonby were the leading team at the end of the championship and took their sixth Auckland title. They also won the Roope Rooster but lost to Devonport in the Champion of Champions match.
